Carbon Reduction Commitment – Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC-EES) Performance League Table (PLT)

 Recently, the first Carbon Reduction Commitment – Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC-EES) Performance League Table (PLT) was published.  2,103 organisations were ranked based on early actions to reduce carbon emissions from energy use. 

Twenty-two organisations were ranked as top performers accounting for 314, 626 Tonnes of CO₂ representing only 0.5% of the CO₂ emitted by all the organisations ranked, 61,168,143 Tonnes of CO₂. 

The 10 highest emitters account for 720, 4804 Tonnes of CO₂.  For the UK’s emission reduction target to be achieved, more organisations, across the private and public sectors, as well as the domestic and transportation sectors would need to be included in the scheme or other similar schemes.
